About Island County Master Gardeners

This plant sale is being conducted as a collaboration between the Island County Master Gardener Foundation and the WSU Master Gardener Program.  All proceeds from the sale will be used to support community education activities.

The Island County Master Gardener Foundation exists to support the Master Gardener program of Island County. Funds raised through plant sales and workshops make it possible for Master Gardeners to carry out their educational mission in the community.

Master Gardeners are WSU Extension-trained volunteers who enjoy sharing gardening knowledge with others in our community to promote healthy landscapes, healthy foods and healthy lives.  There are more than 90 Island County Master Gardeners who volunteer to: 

  • staff the Master Gardener Hotline

  • hold plant clinics

  • tend the Educational Gardens in Greenbank

  • conduct educational outreach projects including school gardens
